Opportunities ✍
Men's Journal: Writers (via Melissa Copelton): “I'm looking for freelance writers for an opportunity with Men's Journal. This is a weekend-specific role (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) covering breaking and trending news across celebrity, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, weather, business, money, and beyond. If you or someone you know is interested, please email your resume to c-mcopelton@thearenagroup.net.
I will be doing a separate callout for weekday opportunities at a later date. For now, please only reach out if you have weekend availability.”
The Food Section: Writers: “The Food Section is actively seeking freelance contributors to add their voices to the newsletter’s mix, with a particular emphasis on reported stories that reflect the diversity of the South”.
Writers (via Marissa Gainsburg): “The search is on for freelance writers and editors with a strong affinity for the mountains—backcountry skiing/snowboarding, trail running, and/or outdoor climbing—with experience working on omnichannel product campaigns and product-description copy, preferably for an outdoor brand. Senior-level writing/editing chops and endemic knowledge required”.
Culture : the word on cheese: Writers: “Got a story to tell? Submit it during our open call for pitches! ✍️ Culture is on the hunt for fresh editorial ideas for 2027. Whether you’re a writer, cheesemaker, retailer, consultant, or publicist, we’d love to hear from you. Email mallory@culturecheesemag.com by Aug. 17 for consideration!”
