Opportunities ✍

Business Insider: Writers (via Frank Olito): “It’s a new quarter, so I’m looking for new freelancers to work with and for brilliant essay ideas. Here’s what I’m seeking right now:

💼 Family Businesses: Have you started a business with a family member, maybe your child or parent? Has it been successful? Did you have to shut it down? What did you learn? What were the keys to your success?

🎓 College/recent graduates: I’m always looking for stories from college students, recent graduates, or parents of college students. What is it like being a college student today? What is it like at X school? How are you paying for college? How are you saving for your kids’ college? How are you dealing with the current job market as a recent grad?

🤝 Landing the job: Have you recently landed a job in this tough job market? Did you do something unique to get noticed? Maybe sent in a video cover letter? Snail mailed your resume? Worked with a career coach? What does it take to get noticed in the current job market?”

Pitch

Metro UK: Writers (via Sharan Dhaliwal): “WRITER CALL OUT: I’m looking for more first person dating and sex stories for Metro.co.uk’s ‘So, How Did It Go’ series. We’re looking for unique, silly and fun stories - have a look at what we’ve already published to get an idea of what we commission. It’s paid (£120) and an ongoing series, so there is no deadline. Please drop me an email.”

Pitch

Inspirational Adventures: Travel Journalists (via Vedant Dudraj): “I'm on the hunt for travel journalists. Writers who've spent years building real expertise, deep relationships, and a genuine voice. If that's you, have you ever wished you could publish faster, earn more fairly, keep the rights to your own work, and reach an audience that genuinely wants to read what you write? We're looking for 10 experienced travel writers who've written for major publications to be part of something we're building at Inspirational Adventures”.

Pitch

Destination Decoded: Copywriters (via Jessica Hiller): “We’re looking for freelance copywriters with consistent availability (10–20 hours/week) to support brand and campaign work across luxury and lifestyle hospitality, food & beverage, spa, and travel clients. Ideal candidates have 4–8+ years of experience and a strong portfolio spanning brand voice development, web, social, and marketing copy. You should be a strategic thinker who can translate positioning into compelling, conversion-minded storytelling while maintaining an elevated, nuanced tone. Must be comfortable working independently, managing deadlines, collaborating across teams and available during East Coast business hours”.

Pitch

Static Media: Writers (via Mark LoProto): “Just a quick reminder that Static Media is hiring new writers for its home improvement, real estate, and
