Opportunities ✍
Chewy: Writers (via Kathleen Frost): “🚨 Calling all freelance pet writers & editors! 🐠🦜. I'm looking to expand my team of writers and editors covering Chewy's exotic pets vertical! I'm ONLY looking for writers and editors with a strong portfolio in pet writing and editing covering:
🐟 Fish
🐍 Reptiles
🐰 Rabbits
🦦 Ferrets
🐹 Hamsters (and other small mammals!)
🦜 Birds
*Brownie points if you're an exotic pets veterinarian who specializes in these animals!*
If you know you're obsessed with all things exotic pets, can write with authority and personality, and have published pet content you're proud of, I'd love to have you on my team. As for rates, writing can range from $400-$650, and editing is usually $150 per piece”.
Kelsey: Writers (via David Castle): “Kelsey is looking for talented freelance journalists to help with a digital content project this autumn and beyond. Specifically, we're looking for individuals who can write engaging and informative content on men's and women's lifestyle issues (fitness, health, nutrition etc) and understand what the current hot topics are. You must have good contacts and plenty of ideas! We are also looking for individuals who can write royals content, gardening content and in the broader area of psychology, particularly things like narcissism, psychopathy, toxic relationships, ADHD and even crime. If you think you fit the bill, email mark.winterton@kelsey.co.uk outlining your skills and experience”.
PsychWriter: Writers (via Emma Locker): “Looking for mental health writers for 2027. We have big plans for PsychWrite next year. So, we’re getting prepped early. And looking for some new article writers. If you’re a writer with clinical expertise, apply using the Google Form below! P.S. We’ll keep hold of these entries. Then, when we need writers throughout 2027, we’ll pick from this list..”
The Stylist Group: Writers (via Susanne Norris): “I'm looking to commission first person stories for Stylist's Learn From My Mistakes series. LFMM (which was conceived by my brilliant, previous boss Ellen C Scott) is a series that highlights women's biggest mistakes and what they (and we) can learn from them. Including a link to the series below. For anyone who wants to pitch, I'd encourage you to scroll through and look at the kind of stories that work for this series and what we've covered already. Please send pitches to susanne.norris@stylist.co.uk with 'LFMM' in the subject line.”
